Donogh Island: Lat. 54 48 30 Long 99 56 42
The Manitoba Government began naming geographic features after Manitobans who died in wars. In northern Manitoba, an island has the name "Donogh Island" and was named in 1972 after Oliver Roland Donogh, killed in WWII.
Located in Wekusko Lake, Donogh Island is directly downstream from Wekusko Falls. At this location is a very beautiful campground and a favourite fishing spot. The road shown connects Snow lake at the north with the road leading between The Pas and Thompson.
